And I'll be sharing a kitchen with 6 other floormates...
Of course I wanted that studio room with my own huge bathroom and pretty kitchen inside but paying RM2700 (480 GBP) a month is just outside my budget. In fact, even the room I have now is outside my budget as UPM only pays max RM1898 (345GBP) per month for rent, which of course is quite ridiculous as the only room with that kinda price will be if I share a house outside with 10 other strangers. But aside from just knowing only 2 strangers in Kent, staying in the uni for the first year is very important and my room is the cheapest there is. Maybe I'll move out next year or as soon as I find somewhere nicer and meet 8 other strangers. But thats getting way ahead of myself here. Lets see how the first year goes, eh.

I'm also in the last stages of my visa application. Now that I have my accommodation settled, hopefully I can settle everything else by next week. I have not yet booked a ticket and plan to do so as soon as my visa is done. My aim is to go before my parents fly off to the states on 4th Feb. I was thinking of 31st Jan but it depends on whether UPM can give me my allowance by that time. Hmm, what other preparations have I done? Lets see..
I'm buying a MacBook Pro (bye-bye virus!hah!)

thanks to zakiah's and my mom's recommendations, have bought a new camera (to take gorgeous photos of me in Paris Kent).
Luggage, some winter clothing, rice cooker, food, meds and all that will be bought next week. I've got a helluva long list and am really looking forward to some major shopping sessions. Since I'll be gone for 3 years, I need to clean up my office and my room at home. All that can be done next week I think. Oh, I also need to settle my banking stuff, stock up my 1 TB harddisk with movies/tv series, photocopy some books and not to mention all the documentation that needs attention!
