Spring

Its a very bright and colourful world out there now. The flowers are blooming splendidly and the sun is constantly shining (the wind is still cruel though, howling like a banshee and trying to get into your coat).
Anyway, it looks like spring is finally here. For those who don't know this, Kent is known as the Garden of England and it shows. All around town, huge pockets of flowers, tulips, daisies, roses etc can be seen waving their bright heads to the sun. I was so mesmerized by the wonderful sights that I completely forgot to take photos! Fail! I so wanted to show you guys the pretty blooms :(...Next time ok, promise. But I did take some pics around campus on the way back.
Wait, let me start from the beginning. Last Saturday, me and a friend went to town to buy some groceries. Then we had lunch at Chom Chom, a fusion-style buffet restaurant in Canterbury. They served Indian, Chinese, Malay and Italian food for about 10 pounds per head. The food was really delish and we had a lot of it. I really loved the butter chicken, sweet naan bread (had coconut in it), margarita pizza and mixed vege in oyster sauce. We were so absorbed with the food that we totally forgot to snap photos of the different dishes. But I did snap a few of the place itself. Beautiful deco/ambiance, very nice service and great food for a reasonable price. What more can you ask? If any of you come here to visit me (ahem!) I'll definitely bring you to this place :)
Since it was the Easter weekend here, most of the girls in my flat went back home (sob!) so I had the kitchen to myself. To celebrate, last night I made roast chicken and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner. I usually cook simple stuff since there are always other people trying to hog the stove but this time, I spent almost 2 hours in total, preparing, marinating and cooking. Oh the Joy! The results?
The yellow things are bellpeppers.
Mashed potatoes are so damn easy to make. Thanks youtube! hahaha
Gravy made from scratch using the juice from the roast chicken and some other stuff.
I think thats all I have to update. Work is as usual, meaning there is so much to do and so little time to do it. Its getting pretty routine but I am enjoying it so far. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and take care.
Oh, here's something to make you smile :)
See you soon peeps!
